Okay I’m going to stop blowing that person’s post up with notifications but
I will say that while I can’t speak for them or why it upset them, there are definitely legitimate reasons why someone could be upset by things like casual throwing around of Hitler’s name and the entire concept behind that, and that when people are deeply upset or triggered or offended by something or find it distasteful, it’s usually a good idea not to argue with them. You’re not likely going to change their mind unless their response is based on an honest misunderstanding, and at worst you could even trigger them worse by trying to force them into a conversation about it or make them justify their triggers.
As with basically anything, ever, there are going to be people who like it and people who don’t, people who are offended by it and people who aren’t. Being a member of a group doesn’t give you the right to speak for that entire group, and broad statements about what ISN’T offensive are almost always more likely to be hurtful than broad statements about what is. Not being exposed to something you don’t give a shit about because people are worried about being offensive won’t hurt you, but being exposed to things that cause you distress because people don’t think it’s offensive WILL hurt you.
A good example I can use here is the tumblr transstuck. It’s a tumblr dedicated to collecting and showcasing trans fanworks. Some people find it offensive and some people really like it. I’m trans and I think it’s awesome; I love trans fanworks and being able to find them all in once place, to prove that they actually exist, and I think they’re really valuable for helping to normalize transness. I know other people who are also trans who absolutely hate it for a variety of reasons, including how much of it is porn or highlighting body differences between trans and cis people, who think that it’s not good attention and there’s no need to put such an emphasis on characters’ gender identities.
I disagree with those people and I don’t think it’s offensive, but I’m not going to tell them they’re wrong to be offended or they should stop. If they’re hurt by it, then they’re hurt by it, and I don’t get to tell them they’re not. If they want to discuss why and open it up to debate, then I’m more than happy to explain why I think it’s a good thing and why I think their view on it is flawed, but if they’re not then I’m not going to.
It’s like that with anything. If someone says something is triggering or offensive or something, just let them say it. If they want you to tag, then tag, or if they just want to alert other people they know who’ll be upset by it, then let them. It’s just plain unnecessary to interrogate them and try to tell them they’re wrong, not to mention pretty dismissive.

And I honestly do not mind, in the slightest, when dumb Hitler jokes are made.
Cool. You’re not every single Jew or every single person of any other group that was disproportionately targeted by the Holocaust (like Roma, for instance), though, and the fact that they don’t upset you doesn’t mean they won’t upset anyone else or that the things I said aren’t reasons why people are upset about those kinds of things.
I was addressing the questions you brought up in your post because it was really dismissive, especially considering it was reblogged from someone who clearly either a) has been upset enough by the update to want to warn other people about it or b) knows people who will be and wants to warn them about it. So clearly there are people who are really deeply upset, offended, and triggered by it and making a post questioning that is unnecessary and made it seem like you didn’t understand why anyone would be offended, so I answered that, so now we’re having this conversation, etc etc.
